Getting there and local support
By plane: From New York, London, Paris, and many other capitals there are
direct connections to the new E. Venizelos airport in Athens. At the airport,
there are branches of all big international car rentals offering interesting
rates. From the airport, there is a direct highway connection via Korinthos (direction
Tripolis) to the Nemea interchange. From there, you take a Greek national road
leading to Nea Tyrins, about 3 km from the house. Travel time from the house to
Athens Airport is 1 hour and 45 minutes (170 km). Our administrator will be
happy to pick you up at Athens Airport at affordable rates if you wish to rent a
car in Nafplion.
By ferryboat: If you intend to travel with your own car, you should the
ferryboat from Italy (Ancona) to Greece (Patras, approx. 180 km from the house).
The comfortable and fast ferries of Superfast Lines (www.superfast.com), Minoan
Lines (www.minoan.gr) and Strintzis Lines (www.bluestarferries.com) take about
20 hours for the passage Italy/Greece. That way, you can even experience a mini
cruise on your way to Villa Arkadia!
Local support: In Nafplion you will be supported by our administrator.
She will hand over the keys to the property and show you the details of the
house upon your arrival. During your stay, she will be happy to answer all your
questions and to assist you should there be any problems. She waters regularly
the garden and cleans up the pool if necessary. It is possible to have the house
cleaned-up once a week or even more frequently (extra fee). The final clean-up
is obligatory.
